Location : Loei Province (Thailand Northeast)
Phu Kradueng National Park situated in “Si Than” Sub-district, Phu Kradueng District, Loei Province, Thailand, has been designated as the second nation park of Thailand, there is elevation is between 400-1200 meters with the top point of 1316 meters at Khok Moei. In general that you will see there with there are many plants, Wildlife, many Cliffs, Prairie, Streams, Waterfalls.
According with high elevation and climatic condition, the weather at mountaintop is cool all year round, some year in winter temperature may drop to freezing point. That why most incentive to visitors who would like to be there conqueror at least once of their life
Recommended who is like for heavy hiking. The place so popular in winter season of Thailand, perhaps is number one for top destination of the season. Since the place so popular at period time during 1 October ~ 31 May, so some of long weekends or during new year which need to check for limit quantity person/day first before you go there, Which limit is set for prevent more persons gonna kill natures!!!!
Why are the highlights?
The place is heavy hiking right? But it’s challenge for walking that ~ 9 kilometers to visitor center and you will see many places that will make you forget to tired. There are many cliffs, Water fall, etc, along with good atmosphere that will truly make you feel good.
Some one said that, Who would like to proves true love when you together with your Boy friend or your Girl friend can beside with you until conqueror at mountaintop you will see a true love and you will get better more closely, so please careful during travel fatigue will make you crazy.
What are the highlights of this place?
Pha Nok Aen. It’s about 1.2 km from the visitor center or about 2.5 km from Lang Pae (Spot of first top mountain arrived).It’s general feature is a small rock outcrop with the standing pine tree at the edge of the cliff. This is the most popular place for tourists to view the beautiful of sunrise.
Pha Lom Sak. It’s around 9 km from the visitor center. This point is the most well know for enjoying the glorious sunset. It’s an overhanging cliff, with a pine tree branching out and protruding horizontally many meters beyond the edge of the cliff and most photographed area.
How to get there from Bangkok?
By CAR. Take a car pass by Saraburi Province, and go to Pak Chong District, then turn left into highway No.201 via Chaiyaphum Province, Phu Khiao District, and then turn left to highway No. 12 passing Chum Phae District and turn right into highway No.201 passing Phu PhaMan District and Pha Nok Khao, after that turn left into highway No.2019 which leads to Phu Kradueng.
By BUS. Take the bus at Terminal Bus ( Mo Chit 2) to Northeastern with Bangkok-Loei route, The bus will drop you at Pha Nok Khao and then take a local bus (Song Theao) to Phu Kradueng.
By TRAIN. There is no Loei Railway Station but you can get the Train at Hua Lamphong Railway Station to Khon Kaen Railway Station (Khon Kaen Province) and then take the bus from Khon kaen to Loei. The bus will drop you at Pha Nok Khao or Phu Kradueng Terminal Bus and then take a local bus (Song Theao) to Phu Kradueng.
By AIR. There is no flight to Phu Kradueng Province, but you can take a flight to Khon Kaen Province or Udon Thani Province and then take the bus to Loei Province.
